SCHOOL REBATE PROGRAMS
MySchool effectively facilitates school support on behalf of a range of business partners who have a specific interest in education. The fundraising programme is a partnership between business partners, consumer supporters and schools: all striving to create a better future for learners in South Africa. Approximately 350 000 parents and community minded individuals have MySchool supporter cards.
Supporters use their MySchool supporter cards whenever they transact with one of the MySchool business partners. A small percentage of their transaction is then allocated to their beneficiary school. All these transactions are recorded and a statement of the transactions is sent to individual supporters on a monthly basis.
The supporter card is not a debit or credit card but serves as a measure through which valuable supporter data, such as transactions and funds raised for a particular school, are tracked.

The Makro school rebate programme rewards parents for shopping at Makro by giving a percentage of the profit from their purchases back to the school on a bi-annual basis. As this programme work on the existing Makro card system, there are no additional fees, which means we pay 100% of the accrued rebate DIRECTLY to the schools! All you need to do to join, is link your Makro card to your child’s school and select the nearest Makro store to the school. That’s it.
Please not that purchases made at the store nearest to the school will be acknowledged for the rebate. Once your card is linked to the school, the school will benefit every time you shop at the selected Makro store by receiving a percentage of the profits.
